DAY 31

So the month has now passed..

31 days, 31 words 31 pieces of art. All with different workflows, mediums and time to complete between life in general.

Inktober2017

Simply put, the main thing I’ve taken away from this year’s inktober challenge is ‘time management’

Finding that balance between work and life is more important than ever. If your young and use your time wisely your older self will look back and thank you for it.

I don’t think my abilities have grown as an artist by doing this challenge but I now have a better idea of what I need to do more of “and less of” to continue my growth.

DAY 25

For today’s submission I had to do do a little research. Drawing ship’s is something I haven’t done since I was a kid and after a few fail attempts I went and did a little research.

I was absolutely blown away by some of the floating mansions I came across. It’s another harsh contrast of the few that can afford such luxury while so many others struggle in poverty.

I believe in success and rewards but it’s gotta take a special kind of person to live a lavish lifestyle and not think about the people with nothing they could easily help…
But enough of that! It’s day 25… It’s a ship…

DAY 21

21 days in. I cant remember the last time I’ve  uploaded this consistently in recent years. Even though the topic changes every day, i’m finding easier to find my creative rhythm than ever before.

Inktober

Didn’t have as much time as I’d like to work on this but I still wanted to do something. Decided to keep it as messy as possible for a change. Leaving in everything. No eraser was used and the body was done freehand.

This time next week, it will “almost” all be over…..

DAY 11

Usually it’s around this point when cracks start showing…

The motivation isn’t as strong as it was, ideas dont come as easily, excuses are readily available for putting it off till later…
All thoughts and feelings I went through as I sat down to work on today’s piece but instead of acting on these impulses I decided to let them be the motivation to push me onwards…

Could I use any thing from the days before? Yes…

Looking back at the last ten days was like my own personal story and it’s far from over… The choices we make influence the path we walk. Some days we won’t feel like running and may even stop to take a break or rest but the continuous push forward is what keeps the story going…
This applies to art as much as it does to life…
Never stop writing your story…
